President and CEO of Analysis and Measurement Services Corporation (AMS) Dr. Hash Hashemian has been reappointed by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross to the Civil Nuclear Trade Advisory Committee (CINTAC), effective immediately.

In this capacity, Dr. Hashemian will advise Secretary Ross on trade issues facing the U.S. civil nuclear industry in international markets and will provide consensus advice on the development and administration of programs and policies to expand U.S. civil nuclear exports to strengthen the competitiveness of the U.S. nuclear energy industry.

Dr. Hashemian is joined by 39 other appointed members, all high-ranking officials in the U.S. nuclear energy sector. Dr. Hashemian noted, “It is a great honor to be reappointed to CINTAC, and I look forward to working with the other members in advising Secretary Ross.” During the week of March 25, Dr. Hashemian met with his CINTAC colleagues at the U.S. Commerce Department in Washington, D.C., to begin their work on the promotion of civilian nuclear technology exports to other countries. Dr. Hashemian said, “The U.S. is the mother of almost all nuclear energy technologies, and it is critical for our government to do all that it can to preserve the U.S. leadership in providing the world with this very clean and green source of electricity.”
