AMS’ state-of-the-art EMC laboratory is an A2LA Accredited Electrical Testing facility (A2LA Cert. No. 3483.01) that is staffed by trained and qualified engineering staff and iNARTE–certified EMC Engineers, who oversee and direct all of the work. Our A2LA QA management system is audited every two years by A2LA to maintain accreditation.
In addition, several audits of both of our QA programs are performed each year by customers who use our EMC expertise, including audits by members of the Nuclear Industry Assessment Committee.
All safety-related tasks are carried out according to our QA programs and our customers’ QA requirements. These tasks are performed by qualified AMS personnel using approved procedures and equipment with current calibration traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology. In addition to specific QA requirements outlined in our QA manual and related procedures, AMS implements applicable guidance found in industry standards, including those of the American Nuclear Society, American National Standard Institute, American Society for Testing and Materials, American Society for Mechanical Engineers, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, International Society of Automation, International Electrotechnical Commission, and International Atomic Energy Agency.
