AMS Lead Engineer Receives Best Presentation at EQ Conference
Curtiss-Wright, Nuclear Division’s EQ PowerSuite™, and the Nuclear Utility Group on Equipment Qualification (NUGEQ) host an annual EQ Technical Meeting and Training where the EQ community come together to exchange ideas and solve common problems. This three-day event consists of presentations on industry best practices, events, products, and regulatory issues from vibrant, diverse, international speakers, with unique solutions to shared problems.
The most recent conference was held on November 9 – 11, 2022 and hosted in Clearwater, Florida. Mr. Casey Sexton, Cable Services Group Manager, and Mr. Trevor Toll, Lead Engineer of the AMS Materials Testing Laboratory, attended the event and had a great time networking with other industry experts and sharing the results of a recently concluded research and development (R&D) project regarding the development of cable aging acceptance criteria for nuclear facilities.
During the event, Mr. Trevor Toll gave a presentation on a recently concluded three year, multi-million-dollar Department of Energy sponsored R&D project where AMS developed acceptance criteria for mechanical, electrical, thermal, and chemical condition monitoring tests that trend with age-related degradation of electrical cable insulation polymers.
Each year the conference attendees vote on the best presentation of the event. This year, Mr. Toll won the Tom Hencey Best Presentation Award for his presentation titled “Development of Cable Aging Acceptance Criteria for Nuclear Facilities.” AMS would like to congratulate him on this accomplishment!
