Ben has an Associate of Applied Science degree in Telecommunications from Ivy Tech Community College as well as electronic system certifications and training. His professional background has focused on low voltage system installation, maintenance, and repair such as alarm and simulation equipment.  
 
Ben has been married to his wife, Julie, for fifteen years. They have three children: twelve-year-old Jonas, ten-year-old Jack, and five-year-old Stella. The family has a four-month-old silver lab named Duke. In his spare time, Ben enjoys hiking, generally being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
