Employee Spotlight: Chuck Sapien


AMS congratulates CHUCK SAPIEN on reaching 5 years with the company this July. Chuck is a skilled electrical engineer who works in the Technical Services Group at AMS. As an electronics technician, his job entails doing a great deal of construction and service on AMS products, including AMS’s cross-calibration, rod position indication, rod drop, and pink noise generator equipment. In addition, he works in the field, performing safety testing and troubleshooting on I&C systems at nuclear power plants across the country.

Chuck graduated with a degree in electronics engineering from ITT Technical Institute in 1998. Prior to AMS, Chuck worked for 15 years as a service technician at Fleenor Security Systems installing and servicing security systems in homes and businesses.

Chuck is born and raised in Knoxville. He met his wife Connie through mutual friends, and they were married in 2008. Connie has been a registered nurse at UT Medical Center for 14 years; she is head nurse over robotics and general surgeries. Chuck has two stepchildren—Andrew (age 29) and Tiffany (age 35). Together they have 5 grandchildren. Chuck enjoys lake fishing, playing corn hole, golfing, and camping.
